Find an advocate

The Find an Advocate tool has been integral to PovNet’s goal of connecting people. When it first launched, it was to connect advocates working outside of Vancouver with others and with up to date resources. Today that remains to be the case, as advocates working in small or rural communities often work in isolation. Find an Advocate is also helpful for people who need assistance from a legal advocate, as it allows them to find one that is nearest to them or one that serves people provincially.

TrY the new Find and advocate tool

  1. Click the Area of Advocacy (drop down) you need help with

2. Click the city or area you are looking for support in and click the Search Button

3. To see more information about a listing click on the circular picture or the name of the service. This will open a box that will give you a description of services and contact information to connect with an advocate.

4. There is a possibility that the service doesn’t exist in your city and you may need to expand your search. You can choose Provincial in the drop down as some services are found province-wide and not just in specific cities. If you’re having any issues with finding an advocate, please email [email protected]
